BOLT Social is now Oneblvd

After 2 years of constant development, growth, ups and downs, mission searching (frankly soul searching), I think this is the most pivotal point in our journey. What could that possible be. Well, the BOLT app and platform has officially been rebranded to Oneblvd, as a reflection of our focused mission and vision for the platform.

BOLT Social started out as a place to authentically share what you're up to with your friends in one place, with one click, hence the name BOLT. Signifying speed. However, after months of deep thought, feedback, and experiences, the new vision now combines the core mission of BOLT, with something that keeps me up at night because of how exciting, powerful, and great it can be for people around the world. And no, the goal to build a social product that positively impacts and inspires millions has not changed in the slightest.

The future of BOLT, now oneblvd, is truly exciting. When I first started venturing into software development the first thing I wanted to build was a social network solving a problem I had at the time. I was 14/15 and a dedicated Youtube tech content creator. I made the UI designs and somehow managed to cold email my way to pitch an investor a year later. That obviously didn't work out. I decided to build what I could with a subset of the vision, which ended up becoming BOLT Social. We've reached thousands of users and tens of thousands of posts. The feedback, indications, research, and overall sentiment in the entire social space led to oneblvd. Which somehow is actually vaguely similar to the project I started half a decade ago. This time, after 5 ish years of social network experience, I do think I can execute it, technically at least. Honestly time flew too fast, so hopefully this works.

Update from Jun 19, 2025: That was true. Oneblvd V1 is now in private BETA with a launch expected soon.
