Why oneblvd: a slight refresh

As of today, I've finished working on a refresh of the app, especially the profile. The process behind this isn't just moving around some pieces and pressing submit, it was actually a full blown meltdown.

The vision behind oneblvd is to build a space where we all put aside our differences and focus on being a part of the things we love, on connecting with it, and people who love it too. It can be as simple as sneakers to music to matcha, its the collective experience, not the individual quest.

So, to find the design that truly made me believe in the outcome took more than a few hours and more than a few days. It took literally crying, doubting myself, randomly hating the idea, and a meltdown, and then finally a state of upmost joy and quite literally a vibe - hence why I am writing this.

The profile, despite MeTiles and the short lived board, didn't really feel like it lived up to the oneblvd vision, it was too reminiscent of social apps of the past. Coming soon, is what I believe to be the first version of what you can truly call your blvd on oneblvd...
