The emotion behind oneblvd

This isn't a piece on why you should download oneblvd, why it's better, or even what it does. It's about the emotions that made it possible.
Goosebumps all over your hands as you listen to a song. A zoned out stare out the window on a family roadtrip. Or a moment by a fireplace with overwhelming joy.
Oneblvd was, and still is, the result of feeling deeply. The emotions behind oneblvd are hard to explain, but I'll say this: I’ve loved this platform for the last five years, it has meant everything to me, and we will always do our best to make it the best it can be. In my heart, I love human connection, the ability to bond, to share emotions, to be part of something larger than yourself. Social media has done great things for the world, its given millions a way to make a living and find entertainment, however, it has also created division, overstimulation, stress, the list goes on. Entertainment, brand building, is NOT inherently bad, but a lack of other spaces is.
Oneblvd was never meant to replace other platforms, it was meant to be a space where you go to escape all those other things, a place where you are in control, where you feel better after visiting, where you go to make your day more enjoyable. Where you put your favorite song on and find what you love, figure out your plans fro tomorrow, and share that beautiful sunset at a lake only you know of. The goal is not to keep you on the app for as long as possible, it's to allow you to get what you want out of it. The purpose I envision for oneblvd is to enhance your real life experiences, not replace them.
As people we have different opinions, beliefs, some strong, some small, and that is what makes us human. But when the differences are solely amplified over what brings us together, it creates division. Oneblvd is our attempt to bring people together solely over what we share in common: our passions. A place that isn't about how you look, where you live, what you do for a living, or how much you can commit to it. Just simply a place where you have the ability to be who you want to be TODAY.
30,000 people have joined the oneblvd family, and I am so grateful to everyone who decided that our app was worthy of their time. The goal is to stay true to our vision, our mission, and to continue to work day and night to make the platform as great, as peaceful, as healthy as it can be for everyone.
